This website has been designed to be accessible by all users under the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines W3C for people with different abilities and browsers with specific requirements. Although this site has been designed with maximum accessiblity in mind, the site also has a text only site. There is a visible link on the home page. Pressing the "Alt" and the "t" will take you to the link to convert the page text only. Our text site isWe are keen that everyone should enjoy this site so if you have any problems please contact the webmaster Site Navigation The site is divided into 7 areas. The first area is the General site for the SSCO scheme as a whole. The navigation links for this area is refered to as the "Top Menu " and runs along the width of the screen at the top. The other 6 areas belong to the actual schools within the program. The navigation for this is refered to as the "side menu ". After selecting one of the schools you will be directed to the schools home page. The side navigation then opens up to present a list places to visit within that school area. This is refered to as the "School Menu" Links have been placed at the start and end of the page to allow users with screen readers to easily select a specific menu or skip to the main page content. The site also makes full use of the tab key. Pressing the tab key will take the user through each link and area on the page. The Events Calendars. Each area of the site has it's own events calendar updated by the particular school. The individual school calendars show just those events relating to that school. The main SSCO calendar shows events that relate to the whole family and also notes if there is an event at a particlar school. A link is provided to go to that schools calendar for full details. The text only Calendar is not in the traditional form but is presented as a list of days on which there is an event.
Access Keys Access provide a quick way to move around a page without using a mouse however their functionality depends on your operating system and browser. For windows based systems press the "Alt" and the accesskey together. Macintosh users should press the "Ctrl" key plus the accesskey. Where possible the access key is underlined within the link.
